EARTHQUAKE : Before, During & After

              Earth-quake means  A sudden and violent shaking of the ground, sometimes causing a great destruction, as a result of movements within the earth's crust or volcanic action - google.
              
              Being prepared is very important to us should we know will be made Before, During, and After the Earthquake. Here are some safety tips for Before, During, & After an Earthquake :


Safety tips Before an Earthquake :
              1. Keep a 7-10 day supply of food and water. To maintain freshness it is important to rotate this stock periodically.
              2. Talk with your family and prepare an emergency plan.  
              3. Know the earthquake hazard in your area.
              4.Prepare a handy emergency supply kit with first aid kit canned food with can opener, water , clothing blanket,battery-operated radio,flash lights and extra batteries.

Safety Tips During an Earthquake :
               1. Stay Calm, when you are INSIDE structurally a  sound building or home . Stay There.
               2. If possible quickly open the door for exit. Duck under a sturdy  desk or table, and hold on to it, or protect your head with your arms.
               3. stay away from glass windows, shelves, cabinets, and other heavy objects. Beware of falling objects. Be alert and keep your eyes open.
               4. If you're OUTSIDE move to an open area. Stay away from tress, power lines , posts, and concrete structures.
               5. Move away from steeps slopes which maybe affected by land slides.
               6.If you near the shore and feel the earthquake, especially if its too strong, move quickly to higher grounds. Tsunamis might follows.
               7. If you're in a moving vehicle, STOP and get out. Do not attempt to across bridges, overpass, or flyover may have  been damaged.
 
Safety Tips After an Earthquake :
               1. Be prepared for the aftershocks. once the shaking stops, take the fastest and safest way out of the building.
DONT : Use elevators
               Enter damege buildings
               Use telephones unless necessary
               Panic
Check: Yourself from the other injuries.
             Water and electrical lines damages.
              For spill and chemical, toxic and flammable, materials.
              And control fires which may spreads.
               
              2. If you need to evacuate your residence, leave a message stating where you are going  and bring your emergency supply kit. keep update on the disaster prevention instructions from battery-operated radio.
               
              That some safety tips you can add to your knowledge for earthquakes. note carefully to be ready for these things because earthquake is much more dangerous than the storm because  we know when and where an storm will hit us . Be smart and alert at all time.
